Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer with familiarity in Microsoft technologies and over 10 years of hands-on experience in backend development, cloud technologies, and modern DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Java and Spring Boot, along with proven expertise in AWS cloud services, stream processing, and container orchestration.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • 10+ years of professional experience in Java development with good familiarity with .NET and expertise in microservices architecture.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience working in AWS cloud environments, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.
  • Strong experience with stream processing frameworks such as Kafka Streams, and familiarity with Apache Kafka or Confluent Kafka.
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, SQL Server relational databases.
  • Proficient in DevOps practices and tools including Jenkins, Terraform, Nexus, and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and ECS.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems like Apache Kafka.
  • Exposure to financial domain messaging formats (e.g., XML, JSON, mainframe message formats) is a strong plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
  • Experience in the Account Transfers domain within the financial industry.
  • Broadridge requires employees to complete a background check that includes employment verification, education verification, credit inquiry, and Canadian criminal record check.
