What You’ll Do

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll architect and build backend systems that power mission-critical workflows. You’ll work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and data teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance services that meet the needs of our customers. You’ll also leverage the latest AI tools and platforms such as Claude, Codex, and other cutting-edge AI assistants to enhance development speed, code quality, and innovation.

• Design and develop high-performance, scalable microservices using Node.js and TypeScript
• Build and maintain event-driven data pipelines using Apache Kafka for real-time data processing
• Architect solutions that meet strict compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI DSS)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system specifications and technical requirements
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making processes
• Implement robust error handling, monitoring, and automated recovery mechanisms
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards
• Design and implement APIs that integrate with various enterprise systems and third-party services

What We’re Looking For

• Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience building microservices and event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Temporal
• Proven experience delivering scalable APIs and backend services

Bonus Points

• Full‑stack engineering experience, seamlessly integrating frontend and backend development to deliver end‑to‑end solutions (including React expertise)
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event streaming

Salary Range

160,000 - $180,000. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
