Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer, Engine Squad

Location: Montreal - Hybrid (1-2 days at the office per week)

Position overview

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design, development, and rollout of initiatives, demonstrating technical competency and leadership
• Lead data analytics, unstructured data processing, and DOM operations to ensure data-driven and performant products
• Collaborate with Product Managers to iterate rapidly, balancing technical innovation with business priorities, discussing scope and timing trade-offs, and providing well-reasoned technical designs
• Drive a hack-and-research approach within the squad, testing and iterating ideas to meet business goals, and pivot quickly as priorities change
• Mentor developers, onboard new team members, and foster continuous improvement within the squad
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring project alignment with strategic initiatives, proactively identifying risks, and proposing solutions
• Promote simplicity and maintainability in work, considering long-term implications for the codebase and user experience

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 6-8+ years of full-stack development experience, emphasizing backend technologies like NodeJS and MongoDB
• Deep understanding of modern frameworks and technologies, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, performant web applications
• Creative mindset and strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex technical challenges with pragmatic solutions
• Experience leading and mentoring developers, with a focus on improving codebase and product quality
• Comfort with rapid iteration and potential project pivots
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with product managers and stakeholders
