Job summary

Fleetworthy is seeking a senior full stack developer with dev lead experience to join our team in Edmonton. You will design, build, and maintain web applications using Django or FastAPI, craft REST APIs, and lead initiative alongside product teams.

You'll implement scalable ETL pipelines with Databricks, optimize PostgreSQL schemas, write robust tests, and mentor junior developers. Strong communication and collaboration across disciplines are essential.

Qualifications

• Senior-level full stack developer with Dev Lead Experience and strong interactive communication skills.
• Advanced Python proficiency with Django, Flask, or FastAPI and REST API experience.
• Experience building data pipelines and ETL processes (Databricks or similar).
• Proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL with schema design and query optimization.
• Strong debugging, testing (pytest) and code-quality practices, plus version control in Git-based systems.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Senior-level full stack developer with Dev Lead Experience

• Familiarity with software ticketing systems or processes, e.g., Jira, Solar, ServiceNow
• Willingness to spenda significant portionof onboarding — andperhaps ongoingtime — in collaborative team programming settings

Preferences

• Experience with Redis for caching and queuing

• Experience with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud platform services such as Azure or AWS
• Experience with geospatial data and functions (e.g., Geocoding API, H3 grid system,PostGIS)
