Security Team Opportunity

Coinbase stores significant digital currency, making security a top priority. We are looking for a Software Engineer in Security Platform Engineering to develop solutions for security, compliance, and privacy. You will work on onchain security, web3 monitoring, and related services to protect Coinbase and its customers. Responsibilities:

1. Develop new services using Golang to meet critical needs.
2. Design scalable systems with modern cloud tech and best practices.
3. Plan for long-term maintenance and scaling of backend systems.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute product and technical roadmaps.
5. Write high-quality, tested code to serve customer needs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience designing, scaling, and maintaining production services with service-oriented architecture.
• Proven ability to write high-quality, tested code.
• Passion for building an open financial system.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with rapid company growth (startup to mid-size).
• Knowledge of Blockchain tech (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
• Experience decomposing monoliths into microservices.
• Skills with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
• Experience building high-reliability security systems.

Compensation & Benefits

The target annual salary is $124,000 CAD, including bonus, equity, and benefits like medical, dental, and vision.
