Senior Software Developer – Toronto / Remote (Canada only)

People's Bank of Canada is hiring a Senior Software Developer to join two high-impact Treasury projects:

Bloomberg Optimization – building an in-house database for Bloomberg market data.

Loan Consolidation – normalizing ~50 Excel sources into a scalable database, with future system integrations.

Tech stack : Java (Spring Boot), AWS (EKS, RDS / PostgreSQL, S3), Terraform (must-have), GitHub Actions, Docker / Kubernetes, API Security (OAuth2 / OIDC, JWT, mTLS), Datadog.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years in Java / Spring Boot microservices
• Terraform expertise (examples required)
• Strong AWS (EKS, RDS, S3) & PostgreSQL
• Experience with CI / CD, containers, security best practices
• Financial services and data privacy awareness a plus
