Job summary

Source Code in Toronto seeks a Sr. Software Developer for a 1-year contract onsite.

You will work with BAs, UX/UI, Product Manager and Cloud Architect to translate storyboard and user stories into design and technical specs, delivering quality software including cloud-native web apps. You will design UML models, support QA and testing, build web applications using Java EE, modern frameworks (Angular, React/Redux, Node.js, Spring Boot) and manage production support, release docs, and knowledge

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in systems development and analysis.
• Proficiency with Java EE frameworks (Java, EJB, JPA, JSP, Servlets, JDBC).
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React/Redux).

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud-native web applications based on storyboard and user stories.
• Create UML design artefacts (Use Case/ Class/ Sequence).
• Support QA, testing, and security assessments including penetration tests.
• Coordinate development activities and provide technical guidance to staff.
• Provide knowledge transfer to ministry staff.
