Job summary

IBM is seeking a Product Security Access Management professional to secure our software ecosystem. You will design and implement access management primitives for users and service accounts, and develop scalable authorization methods such as RBAC and ABAC, collaborating with product, engineering, and security teams.

You will contribute to our security posture and deliver frictionless yet robust access solutions for customers across all clouds, influencing product security at IBM’s software

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant software, product and/or security engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems in the Cloud.
• Solid understanding of basic systems operations (disk, network, operating systems, etc).
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, C/C++, Go or other statically typed languages.

• Independently drive execution of projects and deploy them to production with a focus on quality and customer impact.
• Collaborate effectively with a high performing team and cross-functional partners and make decisions which benefit the team and company.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis and improve operations for complex problems that span all clouds.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As a core member of the Product Security Access Management team, you will be at the forefront of securing our entire organization. This is a high-impact role where you will design and implement robust access management primitives for users and service accounts, as well as scalable authorization methods like RBAC, ABAC and other policies. You'll play a vital part in our cross-functional efforts, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and security teams to build frictionless yet secure access solutions. Your contributions will directly enhance our security posture and ensure a seamless experience for our customers.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Experience in both frontend and backend stacks
• Experience in the areas of security, identity and access management
• Experience/knowledge with public clouds (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Interest in evangelism (giving talks at tech conferences, writing blog posts evangelizing IAM and Security concepts)
