Job summary

Randstad Canada seeks a Senior Software Developer - Front End to lead the design, development, and implementation of responsive, accessible web applications in an onsite Toronto environment.

In this 12-month contract, you will translate complex specs into clean front-end code, build robust RESTful services, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting to deliver enterprise-scale software while ensuring WCAG/AODA compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Java development with Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• 5+ years front-end with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS, Node/NPM, RxJS.
• 10+ years SQL/Oracle DB experience including stored procedures.
• Experience developing RESTful Web Services and using Azure DevOps for lifecycle management.
• Direct hands-on experience designing accessible web apps meeting WCAG/AODA.
• Proficient with Bootstrap, jQuery, and version control (Bitbucket).

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Developer- Front End to lead the design, development, and implementation of responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web applications. In this role, you will translate complex technical system specifications into clean, maintainable front-end code and robust backend services. Working in an Agile delivery environment, you will build modern user interfaces, optimize API integrations, write database scripts, and ensure all digital products comply with digital accessibility standards.

Location: Toronto, ON (Fully Onsite - 5 days/week required)

Duration: 12-month contract.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Java Development Seniority: 10+ years of demonstrated hands-on development experience using Java, Spring Boot (MVC, Security, JPA, Boot), and Hibernate (Strictly Required).
• Modern Front-End Ecosystem: 5+ years of specialized experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS, Node/NPM, and RxJS (Strictly Required).
• Database & SQL Development: Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases, with 10+ years of experience working with Oracle Database (11G or higher) including stored procedures and database objects (Strictly Required).
• APIs & DevOps Tooling: Proven experience developing RESTful Web Services/APIs and utilizing Azure DevOps for lifecycle management (Strictly Required).
• Accessibility Standards: Direct hands-on experience designing and developing web applications to meet AODA / WCAG 2.0 AA compliance standards (Strictly Required).
• Responsive Frameworks: Practical experience using responsive frameworks such as Bootstrap and jQuery alongside version control tools like Bitbucket.
