Job description

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, and develop security features for the Web Application Firewall.

Requirements:

• Experience:
• Prior professional experience as a developer is preferred
• Open to recent graduates with strong technical skills.
• Skills:
• In-depth understanding of web-related standards and protocols, particularly HTTP.
• Proficient in Linux C programming, including development and debugging.
• Strong command of tools such as GCC, GDB, Vim/Emacs, Makefile, etc.
• Skilled in scripting languages, especially Shell and Python.
• Familiar with operating system principles, including processes, threads, synchronization, and mutual exclusion.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols.
• Basic knowledge and operational experience in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of web security; development experience in this area is a plus.
• Positive work attitude and effective teamwork capabilities.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $105,000 - $140,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
