The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a rapidly growing and expanding live production control system adaptable for use in workflows ranging from traditional broadcast studios to highly scalable IP based facilities, and the growing field of streaming and cloud-based productions.

What the job is all about:

  • Application software application design in Embedded/Server Linux, container, or similar environment.
  • Developing new and extending features within the existing application framework.
  • Developing interfaces that facilitate communication within and between application modules.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging developed application and interactions with other system modules
  • Estimate development tasks and project effort levels.
  • Participating in code design and code reviews.

Who you are:

  • Minimum 5 years SW & Embedded system, server, and/or sbc-based development experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree, certificate or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Engineering / Computer Science or similar.
  • Programming experience in C/C++ and one or more of the following languages Java, Go, Python
  • Experience with Agile software development methods (e.g. Scrum), issue tracking (e.g. Jira) and version control systems (e.g git)
  • Other experience, desirable skills or areas of interest, considered a plus:
    • Unix/Linux command line tools, scripts scripting languages (e.g. Python)
    • Experience with Video-over IP Control Protocols, Software and SDKs/Libraries related to
      • NMOS IS-04, IS-05, IS-08, IS-10
      • NDI, SRT, Dante, ST-2110, SMPTE 2022-6, 2022-7
      • PTP, mDNS
    • Strong foundation in IP networking concepts and techniques, such as
      • IP Addressing, Multicast streams
      • Network Switch configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting and operation.
      • Cloud-to-Ground / Ground-to-Cloud Video-over-IP applications
    • Live production or Broadcast industry experience or knowledge of relevant workflows, standards, and practices
  • You revel in problem solving, take ownership of and have pride in your work.

  • You are a flexible, adaptable, self-starter that thrives in a dynamic environment.
