Clio is a global leader transforming the legal experience by supporting legal professionals and increasing access to justice.

Summary:

We’re seeking a Senior Software Developer, Databases with deep MySQL expertise to build scalable database systems, optimize infrastructure, and support high-performance applications. This role offers exposure to diverse technologies and impact opportunities.

This position is open to candidates across Canada (excluding Quebec). Candidates near our hubs (Burnaby, Calgary, Toronto) are expected to work in-office at least two days per week on Anchor Days.

Requirements:

• MySQL expertise and backend development experience
• Ability to investigate and resolve performance issues
• Experience in query optimization
• Portfolio of successful projects and lessons learned

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with migration tools (pt-online-schema-change, gh-ost)
• Managing hosts with Puppet
• Working with Docker, Kubernetes
• Developing with Ruby or GoLang
• Managing AWS resources (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible)
• Scripting with BASH
• Using ProxySQL and Percona toolkit
