Senior Software Developer (2+1 Year Contract)

The Corporation of The City of North Bay is accepting applications for the position of Senior Software Developer. This position is a 2-year contract, with the potential for a 1-year extension. Reporting to the ERP Project Manager, the Software Developer will design, create, and maintain custom software solutions, including web and mobile applications and services. Responsibilities include developing system integrations, supporting existing integrations, managing web servers and relational databases, designing and implementing solutions, testing and debugging, conducting code reviews, and producing technical documentation.

Qualifications

• College diploma or degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in programming or system integrations.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET Framework (4.5+) and .NET (5+).
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve coding errors.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions.
• Extensive practical experience in computer programming.

Assets

• Experience with Java, Swift, Python, Kotlin, and other languages.
• Experience with AI and ML.
• SQL Server or similar certification/experience.
• Windows Server or similar certification/experience.
• Experience with .NET MAUI, Blazor, Umbraco, Jira, GitHub, Entity Framework, MVC frameworks, HTML/CSS, MSTest, NUnit, and Agile methodologies.

Hours of work: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (35 hours/week), in-office.

The annual salary range is $77,446 - $96,804 (under review).
