Job summary

Geotab is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to take on a senior technical role within our development organization. You will drive the design and implementation of complex features, maintain code quality, and enable a cloud-first architecture with modern technology stacks.

Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with hands-on coding, architecture decisions, and mentoring of junior engineers. Hybrid work model and strong emphasis on scalable, maintainable systems.

Qualifications

• Post‑Secondary Diploma/Degree specialization in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Software development or similar roles.
• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud services and gcloud CLI for cloud‑native development.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and implementation of complex, ambiguous features and services from concept to deployment.
• Take hands‑on ownership of critical coding tasks, translating complex business needs into robust, scalable solutions.
• Participate in architectural decisions, evaluating trade-offs and risks.
• Prototype and advocate for emerging technologies to improve system efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead knowledge-sharing sessions.
