About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer with a high bar for technical excellence. As a senior member of the development team, you’ll play a key role in shaping technical direction, mentoring other developers, and delivering reliable, scalable software in a collaborative environment

We are open to candidates based anywhere within Canada.


What you will do

• Designing, building, and maintaining high-quality software systems, balancing performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Partnering with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Championing the adoption of software design patterns, code quality tools, and best practices within the development team.
• Supporting the growth of intermediate and junior developers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
• Taking responsibility for the full lifecycle of software components, from development to deployment and support.

What we are looking for

• 7+ years of software development experience
• A passion for writing simple, maintainable software
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Experience mentoring other developers
• Solid understanding of web technologies, APIs, databases, and systems integration
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, Go)
• Ability to accelerate development with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf) while maintaining code quality
• Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of security, performance optimization, and system monitoring
• Experience in leading technical design discussions and conducting architecture reviews

Bonus Points for

• Experience with online bookings, and the tourism & activity industry
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
