Senior Software Developer

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company’s high-performance verification systems. They will use their extensive background in backend Java development and the latest technologies to translate the client's business requirements into high-quality products.

You'll be responsible for :

Developing and maintaining resilient microservices applications including analysis, design, and implementation.

Designing data models and database management.

Participating in system and application architecture & creating system design and application maintenance documents.

Working with software testing teams and assisting them in maintaining robust test scripts and test environments.

Designing, writing, securing and consuming REST APIs.

Supporting the operations group in application problem analysis and resolution.

Participating in rotating on-call support when required.

You bring :

A University degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ years software development experience.

Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

Experience developing high-throughput concurrent Java applications using Spring Boot and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

Experience designing and implementing service-oriented and microservices architectures.

Experience in cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.

Experience with database design and development using relational and NoSQL databases, and an understanding of database administration.

Extensive experience in event / messaging technologies.

Strong communication skills - verbal and written (technical documentation).

Nice to have :

Experience working in an Agile team.

Experience with Maven or similar build tools.

Experience with caching using Hazelcast and / or Redis.

Experience with Docker.
