These services include setting technology direction, project management, analysis, system architecture, software development and the provision of operational support services for our Individual Customer business unit.
What you will do:
- Provide Leadership
- Design, develop and test software to specifications.
- Support production (includes 24x7 on call support).
- Provide consultation with the Systems Architect and Business Systems Analyst.
- Participate in project planning and assessments
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback relative to best practices
- Coach and mentor junior staff.
- Knowledge of software design, design methodologies, and design documentation tools.
- Knowledge of IT industry current trends.
What you will bring:
- A degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum of 7+ years experience in a software developer role.
- Reliability Status security clearance - this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website
- Knowledge of client server environment SQL Server, C#, .NET, ASP, IIS, Web services, PowerShell, Control-M, MoveIT automation and GITLabs an asset.
- Knowledge of the mainframe environment using COBOL, DB2 and SAS an asset.
- Experience with iterative development using agile in a multisite environment is an asset.
- Knowledge with financial applications an asset.
- Initiative with the ability to easily adapt to change.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of software design, methodologies and documentation standards.
- Proven leadership skills with a commitment to customer service.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with a quality focus.
The base salary for this position is between
$63,500 - $117,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.
