Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada is seeking a Senior Software Asset Management Analyst to oversee the full software asset lifecycle, optimise licences, and drive governance across teams such as Application Portfolio, Lifecycle and Delivery, Procurement, Security and Business Partners.

You will provide SME guidance on software applications and licensing, support contract negotiations, produce licence reports and maintain accurate entitlements in Flexera.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Software Asset Management.
• ITIL V4 Foundation Accreditation.
• Bilingualism (French and English).
• At least 3 years in an ITIL-aligned Service Management organisation.
• Minimum 3 years in a senior Software Asset Management role.
• Experience implementing process change.
• Experience with the Flexera licence management tool.
• Strong data analysis, numeracy, and reporting skills.
• Supplier relationship experience.
• Understanding audits and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full software asset lifecycle, including requests, licence validation, deployments, consumption analysis and renewals.
• Lead a specialised work group and escalate licence-related questions as needed.
• Oversee ticket allocation and ensure timely resolution per SLAs.
• Analyse deployments and consumption to identify optimisation opportunities and cost savings.
• Produce reports on licence positions and present findings to stakeholders.
• Maintain software entitlement and inventory in Flexera.
• Support procurement with software purchases and audits.
• Improve asset management processes with automation.

### **Job Description**## **Overview** The Senior Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst role is responsible for the management and optimisation of software assets throughout their lifecycle encompassing licence checks, maintenance, utilisation monitoring and ongoing governance of software applications.
