A leading health services provider in Sault Ste. Marie seeks a Senior Social Worker to join their interdisciplinary team. The role involves providing clinical assessments, consultation, and support to patients dealing with mental illness. Candidates should have a Master's Degree in Social Work and strong skills in psychosocial assessment. The position offers a salary range of $67,000 - $84,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.
As an integral member of our innovative interdisciplinary Primary Care Support Team, the Senior Social Worker will act as a subject matter expert and support the Department Manager in providing overall direction and ongoing development of the program. They will maintain work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of day-to-day clinical coordination of services.
The Senior Social Worker will actively collaborate on healthcare initiatives, utilizing evidence-based practices to support patients and families facing mental illness and other challenging life situations. They will serve as a team resource and role model to promote positive working relationships and effective team building. Responsibilities include providing consultation, clinical assessments, counseling, education, and advocacy in both individual and group settings, with the overarching goal of improving and optimizing mental health and wellness.
