Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Site Inspector to join our Field Services Team in the Niagara Falls area. The role involves managing field inspections, coordinating with service providers, and ensuring compliance with contract documents and quality control measures.

Travel to GTA area is expected. Candidates should have a post-secondary Civil Engineering credential and at least 4 years' experience on MTO or municipal projects, with registration as a technologist/PE as applicable.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology / Technician or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in engineering/construction on MTO or municipal projects.
• Registration as a Technician/Technologist with OACETT or Professional Engineer or Engineer-in-Training with PEO required.

Responsibilities

• Linear infrastructure experience (watermain and commissioning) is required, with structural rehabilitation as an asset.
• Assist with monitoring and calculation of production rates.
• Assist with monitoring compliance with contract terms and operational constraints.
• Manage all paperwork and communication within the field office.
• Lead monitoring of compliance to contractor quality control and contract provisions.
• Inspect construction activities to ensure contract documents are followed.
• Conduct site surveys, confirm scope of work, and maintain daily records.
