Job summary

Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is seeking a Senior Engineer or Senior Officer, Signals and Communication Design to lead signal design for highway cross warning systems and railway CTC projects. You will design, evaluate, and optimize circuits, hardware and software while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Based in Montréal-Est, you will manage budgets, schedules and coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in signal design, testing or estimation for CTC, interlocking and highway-railway grade cross warning systems.
• Familiarity with AREMA railway standards and regulations (CN S&C standards).
• Experience with CAD, MicroStation, PLC programming and project scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead signal design projects, managing budgets, schedules and quality.
• Act as principal design checker for in-house/contractor circuits.
• Coordinate with wiring vendors and material coordinators to ensure PO processing and material orders.
