Job summary

Clark Builders in Edmonton is seeking a Senior Project Manager, SDC Self-Perform, to lead planning, coordination, and execution of self-perform concrete on the Sturgeon Data Center project. You’ll drive formwork, reinforcement, pours, and closeout activities with a focus on safety, schedule, and budget.

You’ll partner with project leadership, manage crews, review drawings and specs, and implement Last Planner System and lean practices to optimize production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, construction, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years managing Self-Perform Concrete on active projects.
• Strong knowledge of concrete means, methods, formwork, reinforcement, and curing.
• Ability to read contracts, structural drawings, specs, shop drawings, and budgets.
• Experience with quantity tracking, forecasting, procurement, and cost control.
• Experience with scheduling and schedule management.
• Strong field leadership, coordination, negotiation and problem-solving.
• Experience using BIM, LPS, and lean construction practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of self-perform concrete on the project.
• Manage day-to-day field operations: manpower, equipment, materials, and productivity.
• Develop and maintain concrete pour plans and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of reinforcing steel, formwork, pumps, and accessories.
• Review contract documents and drive RFIs/clarifications.
• Monitor cost performance and update project budgets and forecasts.
• Lead quality planning and QC for concrete work, including inspections and testing.
• Provide regular reporting on schedule status, productivity, and risks.
• Close out concrete scope with punch lists, as-built records, and warranties.
