Responsibilities
You will be the primary technical point of contact for potential customers during the sales process, owning and driving technical wins for security opportunities.
- Deep technical understanding of Microsoft security architectures, solutions, and technologies.
- Coordinate weekly with sellers and managers to understand and prioritize opportunities, compete scenarios, and engagements.
- Remediate blockers and ensure technical wins for Microsoft Security and adjacent technologies.
- Engage with and reach out to customers proactively and independently; build credibility as a trusted adviser for Microsoft Security.
- Develop strategies and recommendations to improve the client's security posture, shape technical win plans, and tailor Microsoft messaging to the audience for security opportunities.
- Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, architecture design sessions; explain, demonstrate, and architect solutions to address customer security challenges.
- Demonstrate and oversee proof of concepts, present architecture patterns, prove capabilities, and integrate solutions into customer environments.
- Leverage insights and coach teams to align new or changing technology with customer security needs.
- Engage and scale with other teams within and outside the organization throughout the sales cycle, including partners in sell-with scenarios.
- Stay knowledgeable, share best practices, and enable growth for the Security business.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience.
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years of experience.
- OR 7+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience.
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years’ experience developing and delivering customer demos/proofs of concept for Security across competitive offerings.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- 8+ years of technical pre-sales, consulting, or related experience.
- 6+ years experience with cloud/hybrid/on-premises infrastructures, architecture, migrations, standards, or technology management.
- Certification in Microsoft 365 Security Administration or Cloud Security.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, etc., are preferred.
- Experience demonstrating Microsoft solutions, delivering presentations, storytelling, and executing proofs of concept.
- Readiness for deployment including architecture design, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $128,000 - CAD $222,400 per year. Microsoft accepts applications on an ongoing basis. Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
