Job summary

Thales in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Analyst for the Advanced Security Response Team (ASRT). The role focuses on first response to security incidents and operational web application security, analyzing threats, and remediation in real time.

You will interact with customers to mitigate attacks and work with Product and CS teams to resolve issues, while serving as the technical authority on Imperva Application Security and expanding the global ASR program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related Technology field.
• At least 4 years in information security with 3 years in security engineering/threat mitigation or 4 years with Master's degree.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL/TLS, proxies, firewalls, OWASP Top 10.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for incident response and application security within ASRT.
• Own resolution of complex customer issues, ensuring timely communication and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Services, CS, Threat Research, Product Management and Engineering to improve products and services.
• Analyze traffic, logs and attacks to identify risks and strengthen security posture.
• Design and optimize custom security policies to detect and mitigate app-layer attacks.
• Act as escalation point during sophisticated attacks including large-scale DDoS and zero-day threats.
• Perform forensic analysis of logs and events to identify vulnerabilities and remediation.
