Job summary

Interac Corp. in Canada is seeking a Security Operations Senior Specialist to lead design and governance of security architectures across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments.

You will provide risk‑based guidance to business, product, engineering, and technology stakeholders while developing security standards and controls. The role requires 7+ years in information security, AWS/Azure experience, and strong collaboration with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in information security, security architecture, cybersecurity engineering, or related field.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure security controls and risk management.
• Ability to develop detailed security requirements for complex technology solutions.
• Knowledge of IAM, SIEM, EDR, network security, cryptography, and data protection domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and governance of security architectures across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
• Provide strategic security guidance and risk-based recommendations to stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain security standards, architecture patterns, and technical requirements.
• Design, implement, and assess security controls across IAM, monitoring, endpoint protection, network security, and cryptography.
• Evaluate solutions to address security, privacy, resilience, and regulatory needs.
• Manage third-party penetration testing engagements, including scope and remediation oversight.
• Monitor threats and industry trends to ensure controls remain effective.
• Produce security documentation, diagrams, and operation processes.
• Participate in governance forums and advise on risk-related decisions.
• Build partnerships across teams and communicate security requirements effectively.
• Represent the organization in industry engagements and promote security best practices.
• Mentor and coach security professionals for capability development.
