Job summary

FedEx Freight Canada is seeking an experienced Security Investigator to safeguard employees, assets, and customer freight. You will lead investigations, prepare case files, and implement preventive measures to reduce loss while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, bilingual English/French, and the ability to travel between Canada and the US. Prior freight security or border management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post secondary degree required in a relevant field.
• Minimum five years of related experience in law enforcement, corporate security or border management.
• Ability to independently lead investigations and manage multiple files.
• Solid understanding of physical security, systems and access controls.
• Experience in trucking or cross-border supply chain security is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate security incidents including pilferage, threats, and policy violations with thorough case files.
• Prepare incident reports that may be used in internal or legal proceedings.
• Apply preventative security measures to reduce loss and protect people and assets.
• Conduct facility security inspections and audits; implement corrective actions.
• Develop standard operating procedures aligned with security plans and policies.
• Identify and mitigate compliance risks in support of regulatory requirements.
• Protect movement of domestic and international freight and ensure secure operations.
• Participate in security and operations meetings and provide SME guidance.
• Promote a positive security culture across FedEx Freight Canada network.
• Travel within the region to perform duties and ensure compliance.
