Description

Reporting to the Principal, Cyber Security Professional Services as part of the TELUS Cyber Security Professional Services team, Senior Consultant, Penetration Testing supports client security testing engagements.

If you possess extensive experience in offensive security and penetration testing, with strong technical skills in web application security, infrastructure testing, cloud security, vulnerability management, red / blue team engagements, and remediation recommendations, this role might be just for you!

Responsibilities include :

  • Conducting penetration testing and security assessments using industry-standard methodologies.
  • Utilizing tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, Nmap, Metasploit, SQLMap, and others.
  • Supporting client projects, writing reports, and presenting findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Maintaining knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Applying programming skills in Python, PowerShell, Ruby, or relevant languages.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in penetration testing, cybersecurity development, or support.
  • Strong understanding of offensive security tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with web application assessments and infrastructure security.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse clients.

Nice-to-haves :

  • Practical experience in the field, IoT security, or cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as OSCP, GWAPT, GPEN, OSCE, CSSLP, ECSA.
  • Knowledge of social engineering, wireless security testing, and open-source contributions.

Note : This position is a mobile / remote work setting. The candidate will need to undergo a security check and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
