Job summary

Aequilibrium Software Inc. is expanding its QA engineering capability for Canadian credit unions and digital banking modernization.

We are seeking Senior QA Automation Engineers / SDETs who design and maintain automated testing across UI, API, and integrations in banking environments. You will collaborate with developers, analysts, and client teams to ensure secure, reliable, and production-ready digital banking applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software testing or quality engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on test automation development.
• Experience testing financial services, banking, credit unions.
• Strong proficiency with at least one modern test automation framework such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
• Programming or scripting experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, C#, or Python.
• Strong API testing skills using Postman, REST Assured or equivalent.
• Experience testing REST APIs, authentication and system integrations.
• Experience with SQL, data validation, and troubleshooting integration issues.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, defect management and risk-based testing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate directly with client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI, API, and integration tests for web and mobile banking applications.
• Build reusable test automation frameworks and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop test strategies, test plans, scenarios, and traceability aligned with business requirements.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and exploratory testing.
• Investigate defects, analyze logs, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve them.
• Improve test coverage, automation reliability, and quality reporting.
