Overview

We seek a Senior Single Buoy Mooring (SBM) Terminal Representative for our Terminal Pilotage Operation Division. This division manages vessel traffic, pilotage, and technical support at Saudi Aramco's oil ports and terminals, including the Juaymah SBM Crude Oil Terminal with six offshore SBMs.

The role involves assisting the Harbor Pilot with mooring/unmooring operations, conducting safety inspections, coordinating cargo operations, and monitoring ship activities during loading. The incumbent will have authority to halt unsafe procedures and must follow the Harbor Pilot's instructions.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Saudi Aramco onboard tankers during loading at Juaymah SBM.
• Assist with mooring/unmooring, supervise hose connections, and oversee loading operations.
• Act as cargo inspector for ship/shore cargo discrepancies.
• Work on a callout schedule, staying onboard during operations and ashore between assignments.
• Monitor shipboard activities in collaboration with the Harbor Pilot.
• Coordinate between offshore personnel and ship Master/Officers during cargo operations.
• Conduct pre-berthing inspections and regular checks of mooring equipment and cargo hoses.
• Ensure compliance with port safety regulations throughout the ship's stay.
• Participate in weekly SBM inspections and onboarding of new mooring boats.
• Mentor and evaluate junior staff, monitor training progress.
• Possess knowledge of ISPS code.
• Assist in investigating operational deficiencies and document findings.
• Handle emergencies, adverse weather, or cargo issues in collaboration with the Harbor Pilot.

Minimum Requirements

• High National Diploma in Marine Studies with at least 7 years of seagoing experience, preferably on oil tankers, or a BSc in Marine Studies with at least 5 years of seagoing experience.
• Certified Ships Officer under IMO STCW regulations.
