ADGA is hiring a full-time Senior Satellite Communication Systems Advisor to assist in managing large-scale Space and Satellite Communication projects for our Defence client.
Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and recommend on space system interface documentation.
- Compose operational space system deficiency and requirements documentation.
- Produce and present concise monthly reports summarizing all technical progress to stakeholders and vendors/contractors.
- Provide technical input to project plans, including plans (test and integration), drawings, and schedules.
- Review and analyze space system engineering documents such as CDRLs, RIDs, standards, and specifications.
- Develop test plans for prototypes and full tests.
- Create and review SOWs related to Space, satellite communications, and telecommunications.
- Provide input on the full lifecycle cost of proposed Space Systems.
- Recommend satellite communication solutions based on analysis of discrepancies and deficiencies.
- Liaise with DND and stakeholder engineering groups to ensure system integrity, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Conduct design, technical, and management reviews of designs and documents.
- Oversee space system integration testing and evaluation.
- Manage system test and evaluation plans and report results.
- Analyze deficiencies and recommend solutions.
- Review industry documentation for suitability.
- Conduct technical studies and options analyses for space systems.
Qualifications:
- Engineering or Science degree from a recognized Canadian university or an accredited non-Canadian degree.
- Alternatively, a diploma or certificate in Information Management/Technology from a recognized college.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Canada.
- Minimum of ten years of experience as a Satellite Communication Specialist within the last twenty years.
- At least five years of experience in technical documentation for satellite communication projects valued at $5M or more within the last ten years.
- Minimum five years of project management experience in procurement, approvals, construction, or contract administration within the last ten years.
- At least five years of experience in integrating and testing spacecraft communications at subsystem and system levels within the last ten years.
