Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP FI-CO Consultant/contractor to join their team starting in August and will run for 1 year with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in FI-CO and gained previous Utilities industry experience to streamline financial processes, ensure compliance, and support business decision-making. This will be a hybrid position; however, there will definitely be travel to the client site needed, especially in the early stages of the implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and customize SAP FI-CO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Cost Center, Profitability Analysis) in S/4HANA.
• Lead or support end-to-end implementations, upgrades, and migrations (ECC → S/4HANA).
• Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP) and third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and optimize financial reporting.
• Support month-end / year-end closing, financial audits, and tax reporting.
• Collaborate with finance / accounting teams to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.
• Train end-users and create documentation for FI-CO processes.
• Stay updated on S/4HANA innovations (e.g., Fiori, Central Finance, AI-powered analytics).
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
