A leading technology solutions provider is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer with Marketing Cloud experience for a hybrid role in Toronto. The successful candidate will work on a large-scale project for a major banking client, focusing on enhancing customer engagement through scalable Salesforce solutions. Ideal candidates will have over 10 years of development experience and extensive knowledge of Salesforce tools and Marketing Cloud systems.

Location Address: Hybrid/Toronto – 3-4 days onsite (which set days are TBD)
Contract Duration: 2 months (Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE)
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week

Story Behind the Need
Business group: CBE Personalization - The Client Primacy & Personalization team is responsible for ideation, design, engineering, and implementation of software for the Personalization domain.
Project: Client Primacy and Personalization - Large-scale enterprise-wide project to accelerate personalization capabilities across our stack (targeted propensity-driven lists, marketing journey and sales conversion funnels).
We are seeking a Salesforce Engineer with proven expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role will focus on designing, developing, and integrating solutions that enhance customer engagement, enable data-driven marketing, and deliver personalized experiences at scale.
You will collaborate with marketing, sales, and technology teams to deliver scalable, high-quality Salesforce solutions that align with business goals while adhering to best practices in architecture, security, and compliance.

Typical Day in Role:
O Design, build, and deploy solutions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio, etc.).
O Configure data extensions, automation workflows, and segmentation for targeted campaigns.
O Integrate Marketing Cloud with core Salesforce CRM and third-party systems for synchronized customer data.
O Build APIs and integrations to exchange data between Salesforce clouds, marketing platforms, and enterprise systems.
O Ensure data accuracy, synchronization, and compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
• Quality & Governance:
O Maintain a secure, scalable, and high-performance environment.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 10+ years of development experience
2) 5+ years of Salesforce development experience including experience with Salesforce development tools (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components) and Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP)
3) 2+ years’ experience with Marketing Cloud including experience with Marketing Cloud Studios and Builders, AMPscript, SQL, and automation workflows
4) Recent hands-on experience with data modeling, segmentation, and customer journey orchestration.
5) Recent hands-on experience with integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications and data sources.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist and/or Developer certification.
2) Familiarity with CI/CD tools for Salesforce (Gearset, Copado, etc.).
3) Experience in marketing automation or CRM development in a large-scale environment.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in technical field (computer engineering computer science)
Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist and/or Developer certification.
Best VS. Average Candidate:
Strong salesforce developer who has worked with Marketing Cloud
1st round- 1 hour – technical panel interview with senior manager and salesforce architect, and senior developer – MS Teams Interview
2nd round - 30-45 minutes – meet with delivery/program lead and director – potential to be in person
Potential for 3rd interview as a tiebreaker
