About the role

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering Salesforce solutions that enhance customer engagement and streamline financial operations. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders across banking and insurance domains.


Responsibilities


  • Design and implement Salesforce Sales Cloud and Lightning solutions tailored to financial services.

  • Develop and customize applications using Apex and other Salesforce technologies.

  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with teams in Life and Annuities Insurance to align solutions with business goals.

  • Optimize Finance & Accounting processes through Salesforce capabilities.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3–4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON. What you need to have to be considered


  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for Salesforce projects.

  • Work closely with Salesforce Administrators and Developers to customize and configure Salesforce to meet business requirements.

  • Ensure that Salesforce solutions align with best practices and design patterns.

  • Define data models and relationships to support business processes.

  • Work with data architects to design and implement data structures.

  • Develop and deliver user training sessions to ensure effective Salesforce adoption.

  • Assist in change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions.

  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Create and execute test plans, test cases, and user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of Salesforce solutions.

  • Identify and document issues and collaborate with developers to resolve them.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the Salesforce environment.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and other stakeholders, to ensure project success.


Preferred qualifications


  • Experience in Bank Projects

  • At least 1 Salesforce Certification

  • Hands-on Salesforce BA with prior experience in end-to-end successful implementation of projects as a BA

  • Translate business needs into clear and concise user stories and functional requirements.
