The Senior Salesforce Developer will develop complex custom solutions using programmatic and declarative coding, assist in defining current and future architectures, help drive projects forward, lead by example, and mentor junior staff.

Creating and supporting Salesforce initiatives is the primary focus of the Salesforce Developer within the Sales Operations team.

You will work on implementing Salesforce-based solutions with a diverse team of developers, designers, Salesforce Administrators, and stakeholders. You will be building processes, functions, and system integrations within an agile framework for use by Info-Tech employees, to enable them to work efficiently.

The Role

The primary focus of the Salesforce Developer within the Sales Operations team will be to create and support Salesforce initiatives. You will work on implementing Salesforce-based solutions with a diverse team of developers, designers, Salesforce Administrators, and stakeholders. You will be building processes, functions, and system integrations within an agile framework for use by Info-Tech employees, to enable them to work efficiently. The Salesforce Developer will develop complex custom solutions using programmatic and declarative coding, assist in defining current and future architectures, help drive projects forward, lead by example, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, implement, and support functionalities within Salesforce using programming languages and development tools.
  • Participate in an agile software development framework. Assist in resource estimation and the development of project timelines. Address and resolve potential project roadblocks.
  • Partner with Designers, Developers, and Product Owners to define specifications and gather requirements.
  • Research and prototype solutions for integration with Salesforce and other applications.
  • Mentor other team members and deliver effective code reviews.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical requirements.
  • Design and build high-performance, reusable, and reliable Apex code with best practices.

Education Qualifications and Certification

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Application Development, or Information Technology is considered an asset. Must possess a Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
  • At least 6 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.

Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of the standard capabilities of SFDC and successful expansion using custom code (Apex Class & Triggers, Flows, Aura & Lightning Web Components, Platform Events, etc.) and/or integration with external systems.
  • Experience with debugging Apex code, Flows, Lightning Web Components, Platform Events, VisualForce, SOQL, SOSL, and APIs.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, software architecture, and system integration.
  • Experience with reports and dashboards.
  • Experience designing custom objects, fields, picklists, page layouts, automations, approval processes, validation rules, etc.
  • Experience troubleshooting with Developer Console and Workbench. Familiarity with SF IDEs like Eclipse or Visual Studio Code.
  • Knowledge of Repository Branching for org and package development.
  • Experience with JIRA and code repositories.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, charts, and graphs.
  • Experience with data migration, ETL/Data Loader, or similar tools.
  • Proven experience working collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to have

  • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification.

  • Strong platform knowledge, with the ability to build custom apps, objects, formula fields, workflows, and other intermediate content. Strong data management skills.
