Position Overview

Reporting to the General Manager, the Senior Sales Manager will contribute to the company's success by providing superior customer service and selling products/services to maximize revenues aligned with Coast Hotels' Strategic Plan. This role offers an opportunity to impact one of our newest properties.

Responsibilities

  1. Act as a key contact with clients; qualify business; promote Coast's products and services; organize and execute sales campaigns; participate in trade shows and promotions; identify revenue opportunities; develop cross-property sales opportunities.
  2. Process quotes, contracts, reports, and correspondence accurately; maintain detailed client records.
  3. Attend industry events and conferences to maintain knowledge and network.
  4. Participate in site inspections, client meetings, and events to expand market share.
  5. Understand operational insights, forecast needs, and implement sales processes and policies.
  6. Adhere to budgets and resource allocation.
  7. Communicate company policies, set objectives, and standards.
  8. Follow up on inquiries related to sales.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service, anticipate needs, and address concerns.
  10. Resolve issues and escalate when necessary.
  11. Coordinate with other departments.
  12. Perform other duties as required.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Secondary school diploma.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience, with at least 1 year in hotel sales preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with conflict resolution is a plus.
  • Knowledge of second languages is an asset.
  • Experience in fast-paced, customer-oriented environments.
  • Knowledge of Infor HMS and SCS is an asset.
