Location : Calgary, Alberta

Salary : $38.46 / hr

Hours worked per week: 40 hr / week

Vacancy : 1 vacancy

Education Requirements : Diploma and/or Bachelors in Management Studies (Business Administration and Management)

Language Requirements : English

Experience : 5 years experience in B2B conference sponsorship and exhibition sales, ideally in the energy sector.

Experience in showcasing a strong sales skill set, including but not limited to lead generation, cold calling, working with CRM systems, and cultivating sponsorship and exhibition proposals.

Terms of Employment : Permanent / Full-time, Monday - Friday

Start date : As soon as possible

Employment Conditions : Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. No option to work remotely.

  • Experience in meeting and exceeding ambitious sales targets

  • Technical experience with contract management, budget management, and proposal writing
  • Experience with databases (preferably Salesforce) in mass and targeted sales campaigns
  • Ability to cross-sell and up-sell products and services
  • Focus on customer needs and seek win/win agreements

Credentials required : Diploma and/or Bachelors in Management Studies (Business Administration and Management)

JOB DUTIES :

  • Consultatively sell event advertising and sponsorship solutions to new and existing clients
  • Solicit new clients for exhibit and sponsorship opportunities within assigned territories
  • Take ownership of revenue targets, new business development, and reporting
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients
  • Make at least 30 cold calls daily and have client conversations
  • Research potential clients using various resources
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings and host monthly meetings
  • Report sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts regularly to the Commercial Sales Director
  • Promote cross-selling within the dmg portfolio
  • Build relationships through face-to-face meetings to identify future opportunities
  • Allocate exhibition space based on client needs and featured products/services
  • Prepare sales presentations and proposals
  • Enter contracts and paperwork into Salesforce promptly
  • Use Salesforce CRM to monitor sales plans and targets
  • Participate in industry and networking events
  • Assist with event logistics and on-site management
  • Coordinate with production and marketing teams to target potential customers
  • Ensure sales and customer service standards meet dmg standards
