Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of experience in rock mechanics across underground and open pit mining environments.

As a Senior Rock Mechanics Engineer, you will be a key technical contributor, leading geomechanical analysis and design across the full mining lifecycle—from early‑stage studies through detailed design and construction. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will help develop safe, efficient, and innovative solutions in challenging rock environments while influencing project outcomes and mentoring future talent.

Your Impact

  • Solid understanding of mining methods, ground control practices, and hydro‑mechanical interactions
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects from study phases through implementation
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada or eligible for registration
  • Strong technical writing, analytical thinking, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide technical teams
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135,200 - $179,100

MB & ON: $123,300 - $169,800

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $122,100 - $162,200

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organisational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
