Job summary
Promise Robotics is seeking a Senior Robotics and Control Engineer to lead design, development and optimization of robotic manufacturing systems at our Calgary facility. You will mentor a diverse team of software and hardware engineers and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-impact automation solutions.
You have 8+ years in manufacturing automation, strong PLC/HMI and robot programming experience, and a proven track record of commissioning equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/College degree in Robotics, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or Engineering.
- 8+ years in manufacturing with automation systems, robots and PLCs.
- Experience with PLC/HMI, control panels, safety standards, and commissioning equipment.
- Strong Python/SQL and AI-assisted automation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, evaluation and improvement of robotic manufacturing systems with software and hardware engineers.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair robotic hardware, sensors, drivers and software.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment with high safety awareness and compliance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
- Collaborate across software and hardware domains to solve complex problems.
