The Opportunity:

The Risk Management team at WSP needs you! More specifically a Senior Risk Manager to elevate risk management practices across our Rail & Transit projects. Based in our Toronto or Calgary office, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget—while maintaining the highest standards of quality. You’ll be the go-to expert for embedding risk intelligence into project planning and execution.

What you can expect to do here:

  • You will lead interactive workshops and risk meetings to identify, assess, and prioritize project risks.
  • You will Guide project teams and risk owners in developing and monitoring effective mitigation strategies.
  • You will Build and maintain detailed risk registers using our enterprise risk database.
  • You will Perform schedule and cost risk modeling to forecast potential impacts and confidence levels.
  • You will Produce clear, data-driven risk reports to support decision-making.
  • You will Collaborate with scheduling, cost control, and other project control teams to integrate risk management across disciplines.
  • You will Foster a proactive risk culture across project teams and stakeholders.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • 10–15 years of experience in project management or project controls, with 5+ years in civil infrastructure or construction.
  • Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders and facilitate high-impact workshops.
  • Strategic thinker with a structured approach to solving complex project challenges.
  • Proficiency in Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) tools such as @Risk, Crystal Ball, Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran Risk, or Acumen Risk.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related analytical discipline—or equivalent experience.
