Working in Technical Services offers a wide range of challenges, being at the forefront of new work methodologies and having a direct impact on corporate development.

The Senior Resource Geologist collaborates with other team members, who are specialists in their own discipline (database, 3D modeling, interpolation, geometallurgy) to obtain quality mineral resources using industry best practices. He/she may also assist various AEM operation teams with specific mandates.

He/she may also be called upon to support strategic corporate initiatives in the continuous improvement of resource estimation processes. The Resource Geologist innovates and demonstrates leadership in implementing the latest geostatistical advances to maintain a solid foundation for the company's future operations.

In this key position, the Resource Geologist must be able to correctly communicate his or her discipline during technical reviews or presentations to various stakeholders (corporate, operations, exploration, study team, etc.). The incumbent may be called upon to work on advanced exploration projects, open pits and underground mines, located in various regions or countries.

More specifically, you will:

•Act as a qualified person on one or more Agnico Eagle projects;
•Ensure or supervise 3D modeling, geostatistical processing and the development of various estimation parameters;
•Participate in or supervise the production of technical studies (preliminary, pre-feasibility and feasibility) and provide technical reports in compliance with NI43-101;
•Communicate adequately with members of the Geology team to produce quality model blocks;
•Communicate adequately with Agnico Eagle's various exploration groups regarding the development of deposits for which he/she is responsible for mineral resources;
•Coach and assist in the development of geologists within the team and other Agnico-Eagle divisions;

There is a possibility to have a hybrid work schedule, working some days from an AEM office and some days in telecommuting. As the group's main location is in Abitibi, a regular presence is expected in this region if the place of residence is located in another area.

•Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering;
