Job summary

HLD Muskoka in Huntsville, Ontario, seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee residential construction from concept to completion. You will manage multiple projects, coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors, and ensure milestones are met on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in residential PM, strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, and experience with Revitt, Bluebeam, CAD and Procore. Excellent leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in residential construction project management.
• 5+ years experience in construction estimating.
• Deep knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.
• Experience using take-offs and redline drawings (Revit, Bluebeam, CAD).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
• Carpenter experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans from start to finish, including schedules, budgets, materials timelines, and milestones.
• Evaluate scope and allocate resources accordingly.
• Oversee all project phases from pre-construction to closeout.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to hit milestones on time and within budget.
• Monitor and maintain weekly construction schedules.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and project budgets after thorough analysis.
• Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and keep projects within budget.
• Address client concerns and maintain positive relationships for project success.
• Coordinate bid process: quotes, subcontractors, and expense estimates.
• Identify and resolve challenges to keep projects on track.
• Lead and mentor project teams to foster collaboration and high performance.
• Delegate tasks and clarify roles for project coordinators.
• Coordinate with municipal, township, and provincial officials.
• Conduct site visits and compile progress reports.
