As Senior Research Analyst - Global Thermal Coal you will function as a member of the McCloskey team to perform research analysis and derive insights. You will also contribute to consulting projects. You will report to the Research and Analysis Associate Director.

You Will :

Assist with production of global supply demand and price forecast deliverables

Maintain regional reports for specific geographical coal markets

Contribute to weekly monthly quarterly and ad hoc deliverables

Develop new deliverables including data visualisations in PowerBI

Periodically contribute to work outside of thermal coal related to topics such as gas power met coke and metallurgical coal

Contribute to ad hoc team needs such as social media webinars and events

You Have :

At least 2 years experience in mining-related research the mining industry or related markets

Graduate degree in mathematics engineering economics statistics or industry-related field required -OR- equivalent work experience

Advanced proficiency with MS Excel Word and PowerPoint

Knowledge of Python Power BI Tableau VBA (preferred)
