Job summary

Urban Grid is seeking a Senior Asset Accountant to oversee full-cycle accounting for large-scale wind, solar and battery storage assets. You will ensure accuracy, GAAP adherence, and regulatory compliance while delivering timely monthly financial reports and coordinating with Asset Managers, FP&A, and external partners.

Candidates should have 5+ years of accounting experience, a BS in Accounting or Finance, and strong skills in MS Office, Netsuite/Onestream, and accounting software.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience across multiple areas, including reporting.
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
• Netsuite and Onestream experience preferred.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high work standards.
• Strong organizational capacity to manage multiple assets with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting functions for assigned assets, ensuring accuracy, policy compliance, GAAP adherence, and regulatory compliance.
• Produce accurate and timely monthly financial reports for assigned assets.
• Prepare reports and documentation for third-party partners and external audits.
• Partner with Asset Managers, FP&A and business teams to support monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Support and complete month-end and year-end close processes.
• Review the classification accuracy of vendor and subcontractor invoices.
• Perform financial variance analysis.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation.
• Support production of quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Establish and maintain accounting processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
