We are hiring a Senior Reliability Engineer, Mine Mobile Equipment in Fort McMurray to support our mine mobile and autonomous haulage system assets. Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, registered or immediately eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGA
- Technologists with suitable experience will also be considered
- Ten or more years of related engineering experience with a solid understanding of mobile mining equipment design, autonomous haulage systems, operation, and maintenance
- Ability to influence long-range business plans and address the impact of technological change
- Proficiency in SAP, GE APM, and advanced data analysis tools
- Strong computer skills and an understanding of the complexity of implementing technological changes across multiple sites, including effective change management planning
- Facilitation skills would be an asset
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and leading projects
- Deep understanding of reliability philosophy and processes
Key Accountabilities:
- Investigate equipment failures, conduct root cause and failure analysis, and provide actionable recommendations
- Offer technical expertise for damage mechanism assessment and mitigation for mine mobile equipment, including Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS)
- Resolve bad actor issues through operational changes, strategy improvements, material upgrades, and equipment design modifications
- Generate work scopes for challenging Repair-in-Kind (RIK) activities
- Lead and implement techniques to eliminate repetitive failures, including equipment history reviews, lifecycle assessments, and reliability evaluations
- Provide technical support for sustaining and major projects, including scoping studies, model reviews, and system analyses
Location and Other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Base Plant in Fort McMurray, Alberta
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour week, Monday - Friday
- If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation within 60 km is mandatory. Relocation support, including competitive housing assistance, will be provided for eligible individuals
- Compensation will be based on internal guidelines, years of experience, and scope of work
