Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Battlefield aims to bring our players classic and new experiences, big or small, on time, at quality, every time, for all our players to enjoy in a safe, respectful, and highly competitive environment. Battlefield Game Ops fuels this journey, consisting of two teams:

  • Our release team focuses on releasing high-quality, bug-free software on time and with high availability.
  • Our positive play team focuses on providing fair and highly competitive experiences, free of cheaters and abusers.

Our players deserve to play when they want, how they want, and with whom they want (or don’t want). Battlefield Game Ops focuses on bringing the fun.

Responsibilities

With the release management lead:

  • Own and refine the release process using agile project management methodology, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of the game to players.
  • Plan and track actions, tasks, dependencies, and risks for the release process; support and guide project contributors.
  • Lead the process of hardening builds and resolving conflicts and issues before they impact players.
  • Manage schedules and milestones related to build releases and live service; communicate critical project information to partner teams and stakeholders.
  • Define and report on SLA and KPI for the release process and live service.
  • Provide insights and feedback to franchise leadership on release status and quality.
  • Organize and manage the knowledge repository for the release process.
  • Coordinate across different time zones and domains to ensure smooth release processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in program management within live service products, preferably within AAA gaming.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, such as agile, waterfall, and scrum.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
  • Experience with program management tools, such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
