What is the opportunity?

This role focuses on professional relationship management and delivering top-tier financial advice in an end-to-end industry, aligning sales, products, risk policy, and market strategies to deliver solutions tailored to individual needs. This is a senior role that leverages your experience in financial analysis, credit, and client acquisition. Your solution-development skills, combined with innate salesmanship, portfolio management expertise, and client service skills, will set the stage for success.

What will you do?

  1. Apply your past sales experience for prospecting and lead generation to new and existing clients.
  2. Demonstrate portfolio management and risk mitigation through financial statement reviews, trend identification, risk monitoring, and credit restructuring assessments.
  3. Provide an exceptional client experience by delivering superior business and financial advice.
  4. Leverage RBC’s expertise by identifying referral opportunities and making appropriate introductions to RBC partners.
  5. Collaborate with various teams to develop and execute a client contact strategy.
  6. Promote digital enablement by advocating the RBC mobile application, educating, and guiding clients on its usage.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of commercial banking experience.
  2. Proven track record in sales, business development, and client relationship management.
  3. Credit skills including risk assessment, financial analysis, credit structuring/solutions, and deal presentation.
  4. Expertise in a specialized sector (e.g., Real Estate, Health, Agriculture).
  5. Experience with emerging communication and technology (web meetings, social media, Digital Banking, Mobile Applications).
  6. Bilingual in English and French, to serve clients with needs in both languages.

Nice-to-have

  1. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  2. Deep knowledge of products and services based on industry specialization.
  3. Skills in new client acquisition, including pitching, lead generation, cold calling, and asking for referrals.
  4. University degree in commerce, business administration, or related field.
