We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Regulatory Specialist to join the Regulatory Change Management function where you will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing and communicating regulatory changes relevant to Saxo Bank A/S in Denmark as well as on a global level for Saxo Bank’s subsidiaries and branches.

As our new Senior Regulatory Specialist, you will be using your regulatory experience to identify, assess and communicate regulatory changes together with relevant stakeholders in the Bank. Timely monitoring and assessment of new regulations is a vital task for Saxo Bank and we are therefore looking for a dedicated and skilled person to assist with this task.

Responsibilities

Perform regulatory horizon scanning across a broad range of topics, including remuneration, ESG, capital (prudential regulation), capital markets regulation, consumer protection, AML, Payment area etc., and engage with subject matter experts in the Bank to further assess these changes.

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders on the identification and assessment of regulatory changes.
  • Engage with external stakeholders such as regulators and industry organisations on regulatory matters.
  • Develop or co-develop and maintain a relevant IT-tool such as a database programme with regulatory changes.
  • Map responsibilities for existing regulations in the organisation.
  • Assist with maintaining an updated and complete overview of new and applicable regulation for Saxo Bank A/S, subsidiaries and branches.
  • Assist with drafting consultation responses to industry organisations, regulators etc.
  • Contribute with relevant material for internal communication on regulatory changes.

Your Profile

You are highly analytical and capable of reading and digesting large volumes of new regulations. You have a formal legal background and knowledge of the law-making process including substantial knowledge of EU regulation and the EU regulatory process. It is important that you are comfortable working with new technologies, such as AI, and that you can effectively engage with and challenge internal stakeholders on relevant regulatory changes.

Furthermore, You

  • Bring at least 5 years of relevant regulatory experience from the financial sector;
  • Have an academic background as Master’s degree in Law, cand.jur or cand.merc.jur;
  • Have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulation within many different topics;
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written.

Fluency in Danish, both verbal and written, is a requirement.
