Job summary

Nasdaq, Inc. seeks a Senior Business Analyst for its Axiom Regulatory Reporting practice in Toronto. You will partner with financial institutions to design, implement, and optimize regulatory reporting solutions on the Axiom platform, guiding clients through data and reporting requirements while aligning with U.S.

regulatory expectations. This client-facing role requires translating regulatory rules into specifications, advising on best practices, and supporting testing and go-live activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of regulatory reporting experience in banking, broker-dealer, or financial services, ideally in BA/consulting roles.
• Strong foundation in financial products, balance sheet, and accounting concepts.
• Tech-literate: comfortable with large datasets, reading SQL, data models, and collaborating with technical teams.
• Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to interpret regulatory instructions and translate them into practical reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to gather, analyze, and document data and reporting requirements for regulatory submissions.
• Translate complex regulatory rules into functional specifications and configuration approaches within the Axiom platform.
• Advise clients on industry best practices, implementation strategies, and process improvements across regulatory reporting operations.
• Provide SME guidance on U.S. regulatory frameworks by interpreting rules from Fed, OCC, FDIC, SEC, and FINRA.
• Perform data analysis, source-to-target mapping, reconciliation, and variance analysis to ensure reporting accuracy.
