Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Toronto seeks a Senior Analyst for the Regulatory Reporting team. You will support timely regulatory filings and financial statement note disclosures, ensuring accuracy and strong data quality across multiple sources.

This role collaborates with internal stakeholders and regulators, designs reports and dashboards, and drives process improvements to reduce manual work while maintaining governance and controls in line with SOX requirements.

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience or equivalent
  • Experience preparing and filing regulatory returns with Canadian regulators (OSFI, Bank of Canada, Statistics Canada) including M4, Z4, K4, A4, J2, E2, B2, CS-3
  • Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Collaborative and team oriented
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to influence and drive data-driven decisions

Responsibilities

  • Provides input to regulatory reporting policy and procedures.
  • Investigates and resolves complex issues as escalated end-users or by management.
  • Participates in initiatives such as financial reporting systems or business process.
  • Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards for regulators and executive reviews.
  • Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes and enhanced analysis.
  • Supports production of financial, regulatory, and management reporting requirements.
  • Delivers timely, accurate regulatory reporting for monthly, quarterly and annual processes.
  • Analyses data to provide financial, regulatory and risk insights and recommendations.
  • Supports interpretation and definition of internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures governance and controls across finance activities and information.
  • Supports internal and external audits.
  • Gathers and formats data into reports and dashboards.
  • Organizes work information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader scope.
  • Exercises judgment to diagnose and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works independently on complex tasks; may include unique situations.
