Wood is seeking a Senior Recruiter to join the Talent Acquisition - North America team supporting our Calgary office.
The Role
Wood is seeking a highly driven, self-motivated Senior Recruiter who can operate as a strategic partner for our hiring stakeholders. They must be able to work independently to successfully execute full candidate life-cycle recruitment in support of a variety of professional and technical roles across multiple industry sectors. The successful candidate will collaborate with hiring managers to engage and attract top talent to join Wood while creating a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

Responsibilities
Typical Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end recruitment for professional and technical roles to include an inclusive and engaging candidate experience including sourcing, screening and presentation of candidates to hiring managers
- Manage and appropriately prioritize a requisition load of 25-30 + job openings at a time
- Partner with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners and other stakeholders as a trusted advisor to create strategic and proactive recruitment strategies that support Wood’s overall strategy
- Influence and coach stakeholders on recruitment best practices utilizing market data, talent trends and resourcing tools to facilitate both positive candidate experience and candidate fit
- Utilize our applicant tracking system, LinkedIn Recruiter, professional/networking groups, etc. to attract new talent and build candidate pipelines
- Agility to adopt new resourcing tools, processes and trends while working in a fast paced and dynamic recruitment environment
Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood now or in the future is required.

Expected
- 5 + years of previous professional and/or technical recruiting experience
- Experience managing requisitions and candidate profiles within an applicant tracking system or comparable database
- Experience creating successful and productive relationships with hiring managers
- Experience successfully sourcing passive candidates and converting them to applicants
- Flexibility to successfully navigate a high-volume recruiting environment which includes modifications of priority, date needed and requisition load
- Understanding of human resources standard practices and procedures including interview best practices
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills along with the ability to work independently and proactively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable
- Experience recruiting withing the engineering, design and consulting sectors or related sectors
